Losing your creative spark

I love stories. I love to watch movies, I love to watch tv series. I love to watch YouTube. I love to listen to podcasts. Everything with storytelling gets my approval.

I also used to like to tell stories. In vlogs, I liked to tell just a short story about whatever happened and tried to turn it into something interesting.

For the last couple of years, I have lost my creative spark. I know I want to make videos again. But I never make the videos that I used to love anymore.

Now, with a wife and a baby, it’s obvious that I have way less time. A lack of time is somewhat a good excuse. It’s not the whole story tho. I think I’m also way too critical af myself. In other words: I’m insecure of what I create.

Being insecure means I put a lot more pressure on what I mak. That, in turn, makes it difficult to start a new project. A negative spiral that always goes down.

The best way to get going again is to just start. Start, create, publish. This last part is the most important . You shouldn t wait for the right moment. There is never a right moment.

Start simple and slowly but surely you’ll get better. Af whatever you want to do. But along the way, people will start noticing what you.
