A love hate relationship with being a market vendor
I have a love-hate relationship with markets. Since Mandy and I are selling our product at a market two times a week, we feel like true market vendors. We start to recognize other vendors and are recognized more often.
The fine line between open minded an free spirited
We all know people who always say no and are sceptical of everything. The kind of person who only believes in one truth: their own. The opposite are the free-spirited people.
When babies make a jump
In the Netherlands, there is a term for when a baby has a breakthrough in progress. People call it ‘een sprongetje’, literally translated as: a little jump. I hate this term.
What is truth?
What fascinates me is that parallel universes seem to be a real thing. We don’t even have to think of it as all sci-fi or a conspiracy. The parallel universe is not that you are here in this moment reading this, and somewhere on the universal timeline you are doing a backflip.
You are the only person that has to deal with this
When I was a student, a senior once told me to always choose for myself. He said it doesn’t matter what others want. You have to choose what’s best for you.
Your friends will hate you for this
When I studied architecture, we had these crazy weeks. At the end of every semester, we had to present our architectural design. With scale models, drawings, calculations, a report, and a presentation.
One of my biggest fears
I’m not afraid of being dead. It’s not that I want to die or that I’m scared of death. But since I don’t believe in reincarnation or a magical place above the clouds, being dead is just an empty space to me.
What type of person are you?
It doesn’t matter if you’re broke or a billionaire. Every living soul has this one thing in common. We all have 24 hours in a day.
Making money as an entrepreneur is hard
I think most people think that entrepreneurs are like Scrooge McDuck. Swimming in money. We read about the success stories.
You can’t change the past
This one sentence is so stupidly simple, but has had a great impact on my thinking and actions. It’s one of the things that are so simple, yet so impactful, that you think: why didn’t I think of that before? Until my late twenties, I always used to look back and reflect on my actions.
