Why Grandmother’s Food Always Tastes Better
Today I was making boeuf bourguignon for the birthday celebration of Mandy and her father. One of the ingredients is Parisian mushrooms. Years ago, when I was still addicted to watching cooking videos on YouTube, I saw a fancy Michelin chef demonstrate how they peel mushrooms for their restaurant.
One day, you will die – choose your path wisely
For every living person, there is only one true equalizer. There will come a day when you will meet your maker. It doesn’t matter if you’re white, black, yellow, rich, poor, happy, or sad.
Fix one problem at a time
One of the biggest obstacles between me and progress is the lack of action. This can be because of paralysis by analysis. Or having too many things that I want to work on, and then ending up scrolling on social media.
Do kids enjoy museums nowadays?
Did you like museums when you were in lower school? I surely didn't. But my 9-year-old niece Krystal is different.
You have more than one life: this man is the living proof
If you don't believe in a God or reincarnation, then you only have one shot at life. After all, there is no life after death. However, between the day you are born and the day you die, you will live multiple lives.
Exploring Busan in One Day
Jacob and I were on a 48-hour layover in Busan. Korea’s second-largest city with 3.5 million inhabitants, and located on the South-Eastern coast of South Korea, it has the 5th busiest harbor in the world. From my previous experiences, I found that cities like are usually pretty chaotic and the people are mostly busy being preoccupied with themselves.
The Price You Are Willing to Pay For The Olympic Dream
The main reason Jacob and I went to South Korea was to visit the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang. Jacob had recently quit his job, and I was trying to figure out how to make a living with making videos. In other words, we were basically just two broke dudes looking for some of that Olympic Gold.

Seoul N Tower a View From The Clouds
Namsan Seoul Tower was the first tower-type tourism spot in Korea. The top of the tower is at almost 480 meters above sea level, including Namsan Mountain (243m) and the tower’s own height (236.7m), making it one of the tallest towers in Asia. It is comprised of Seoul Tower Plaza, recently opened to public access after 40 years, and N Seoul Tower, operated by CJ Foodville since 2005.
A Saturday Night in Seoul, Dancing the Night Away in Hongdae
Every day of the week, you can party in Seoul. But Saturdays are always more special. Jacob and I wanted to make our first Saturday night in Seoul a memorable one.
South-Korea During Winter is COLD! Don't Forget to Bring Warm Clothes
To escape the Dutch winter, Jacob joined me on a travel adventure through South-East Asia. We planned to go to Thailand, Indonesia and in between, we wanted to go to South-Korea for the winter Olympics. That should have been a major hint.
Exploring Seoul by Following the Locals
It was Jacob’s first time in Seoul. And although it was my second time, the last time I was here, I didn’t really have the opportunity to explore the city. For our first day, we wanted to explore Seoul, without following a tour or setting our expectations too high by reading about other people’s experiences.
