For Thais Tafelen, when we go to a fair, we let people taste our product for free. You would say that if you like Thai food, you’d want to taste it. Right?
Well, some people are weird. Or arrogant. When I ask someone, ” Do you want to taste a real Thai curry? I sometimes get the response: “I already know how it tastes”. How can you know how something tastes if you haven’t tried it? That always baffles me. But there are even worse responses.
Some people will tell me with a straight face that they already can make a fantastic Thai curry. That’s just a weird answer to me. For example: I like cooking Italian food, and I’m decent at it. Let’s say I can make a really nice pesto. If I’m going to a fair and someone offers me a taste of his pesto, I would never say no. Let alone say that I can cook it.
If you don’t want to try, just politely decline. Just say no, thank you.
